I know we didn't get the iconic line, but there was so much going to give this ep an original flare while still referencing the original series. Kudos to the cast and crew, I can't wait for next week!

Ep 1 of #OssansLoveTH was everything I was looking for, with a smooth plot that is flowing well, good writing, and chaotic acting that isn't overdone. The background noises and music aren't overwhelming.

It seems there was a mistranslation in this scene and in the image, it becomes clearer. But their using an ongoing genocide is unnecessary. They literally could have sent him back to Argan, and it would make more sense since the "conflict" there was ongoing and he had previous ground experience.

I really did love some, like Cheese in the Trap, Secretary Kim, Sound of Your Heart, DP, and Moving. Granted, I had only read Cheese out of all of them, but even the changes were thought out. Now, it feels like the companies are depending on webtoons to churn out shows.

So, now I am reading that there was a mistranslation. Looking at the scene again, the image behind Yu Ri does show "Izmael" attacking "Paltima." But it still feels sketchy that they would insert an ongoing genocide if it wasn't in the original material.

I didn't know #WhenthePhoneRings is a webtoon adaptation, but it has reinforced by belief that it's really time to bring back original screenwriting to Kdrama. Or at least being more choosy with what to adapt, this is getting lazy.

I have not read the webtoon, but from what I'm seeing on other platforms, it seems to be new to the plot. Definitely propaganda and definitely not appreciated.
