Minneapolis needs to trend. Anyone with video needs to post it. Thousands are in the street and no one is showing it.

It’s -9 degrees. Downtown Minneapolis is packed for the anti-ICE rally and the crowd keeps growing
A charming piece, so lovingly written. I hope Toronto’s increase in native plantings is helping, too. Have been seeing rabbits in our public garden network (The Bee Line, next to the Bloor Line) for years, and many more in the neighbourhood this summer. Reminds me of 90s band The Local Rabbits 🐰
A carload of freshly dug Black-eyed Susans.
🌱🚨planting emergency at Dundas W Subway Station, 2 pm today🌱 A kind neighbour gave us a carload of Black-eyed Susans for the station’s garden. Dug this morning, yellow & cheery AF🌼 C’mon out to plant & take some home, too🌱 #Toronto
We’ll be cleaning up the garden at Dundas W Subway Station tomorrow at 10 am, if anyone’s into such things🌱
My ridiculously talented young neighbour who wrote an essay about our community gardens for school sent it to Toronto Today—& they published it! 🌱 www.torontotoday.ca/neighbourhoo...
Not going to be surprised when Doug says oh no we’ve been had … and then, casino. It has always been a casino
This lil lovely thing happened🌱 A young, multi-talented neighbour asked to interview me for an essay assignment about “the most interesting person in your neighbourhood.” Carolina Hogan is a wonderful artist—I’m so honoured.

perfect 🍎
Same! My favourite character, too. He and his apple vehicle are on my desk—a wee figurine
OhMyGosh! So lovely to see—some crocus up here but mostly brown and grey still
I dunno—I’m likely neurodivergent, so maybe I took the teachings from church & the lessons from kindergarten too literally. I was always confused when people’s actions didn’t match their words—didn’t realize the differences between neurodivergents & neurotypicals until recently
A meme showing an illustration from Richard Scarry’s Busytown. It depicts a town of citizens going about their days. Text: Therapist: you said you were disappointed with life & how the world operates. What were your expectations? Me: (image of peaceful town)
Does anyone else think about this meme at least once/day? I believe we have all the resources & more to feed, house & care for everyone. I believe in human rights, freedom of expression, & equality. Which makes me the radical left, like Mr. Rogers & Sesame Street
That’s good to hear! If y’all could not invade Canada due to some Trumped up WMD, we’d appreciate it 😅
I’m left of Liberal and agree 100%.
Agreed. And I’m a Canadian feminist😆 Without this context, I could see how it looks bad.
Wow, Toronto Public Library is showing over 1000 holds so far.
In Canada, toqueoff.ca is holding demonstrations at all US consulates and embassies every Saturday from 2-3 pm.
I think it’s about building awareness about the movement—for bigger impact. It will encourage people to change buying habits, if they haven’t already. A beginning.
Noting that most of our mainstream media sources did not cover yesterday’s blackout. I think it would be helpful for us to share all actions widely through social media apps, as they need collective participation to make an impact.
Please help me follow all of the groups that are organizing actions in the US right now. As a Canadian, I’d like to assist in any way I can from here. So far, I have:
Indivisible
50501
The People’s Union USA
American Opposition
Now March
Tesla Takedown
This all day! The perfection thing has to go—in every way. Just divides people.
I love the idea of this day as a beginning. I think it will lead to bigger change.
Amazing! On multiple platforms, I’m seeing many posts by people who say they’ve never shared anything political before as well. About the ON election, too.
Same. Two of mine actually call themselves “golden child.”
Some synonyms for traitor:
betrayer
snake
turncoat
Judas
informant
insurrectionist
double-crosser
double-dealer
rat
sellout
plotter
defector
snitch
quisling
stool pigeon
Definition of the word, traitor: 1: one who betrays another's trust or is false to an obligation or duty 2: one who commits treason
Definition of the word, treason: 1: the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign's family 2: the betrayal of a trust : TREACHERY
Two words I’d like to see in greater use: traitor and treason. Let’s call it what it is. Not just from history books or old novels or spy films anymore.
Was a goalie, too! With the heavy, leather Cooper pads of the early 80s. Black Cooperalls😆 Learned to skate at 2 on a pond.
…as many more people are doing deep dives into info about technofeudalism, etc for the first time. Does anyone know lists of recommendations compiled by experts? Can’t seem to find anything thorough. Obviously, pacing is good!
