I also think it'd be cool if gold tools' trade-off was more extreme. Make them even faster, and a little more durability to not be completely useless, but keep them at a wood mining level. This way they could be genuinely useful for something.
I wish more tools had trade-offs like gold tools did. Copper tools seem very unimaginative, but it could be interesting if they had something they did differently.
For example, instead of having durability, they could oxidize over time. This way, they break based on time, not usage like the rest.
Would be super nice if the clear/glassy icons option supported colorful icons like Dark mode.
IMO the dark ones look super out of place and bad with the grey boxes in iPadOS 26
update: the shortcut breaks picture-in-picture. that sucks.
I think it does a good job at surfacing my "always-watch" channels, like say yours, and it also reminds me if I missed one of your videos in my feed due to there being too many by other videos.
I just now swapped the YouTube icon on my home screen to a Subscriptions shortcut, will see how that goes
Great video! I fully agree and have been trying to remove algorithms from my life.
I will say, I am a big user of Subscriptions on YouTube, but I do regularly click on videos from the home feed purely because it's the default when you open the mobile app.
I legitimately could not tell which is which in the above screenshot, and always have to check the tooltips. In email clients it's not as bad because the existence of the reply all button gives away which is which, and most often the buttons are labeled and not just icons.
I don't really agree, as simply as flipping the arrow to show it's a message based on another one could do wonders, or show the forward icon heading towards something like a user or a send icon or something. Having two identical arrows just left and right is entirely unclear

at first I was confused on how Nuxt had released so many versions since the version we were on, but then I realized what they were doing lol
In particular I'm trying to make overscroll animations with say a trackpad nicer. Currently, an element that touches the edge of the screen will just cut off if overscrolled on, would love to be able to make the background of the last element extend a bit below.
Really niche #css question, is there any way to make an element extend below the page without it expanding the page height? It seems even transforms oddly expand the layout even though they normally do not.

as someone on the other end of this who develops this software, I do get it but at the same time it just is kinda hard to justify spending all the effort to create a stable theming API, limiting what we can change, all to destroy brand recognition in shared screenshots and videos :/
