So you and I and everyone else are in effect now refunding American corporations for import tariffs, although we paid for most of them in the form of higher prices — which they won’t now lower because they have monopoly power to keep prices high.

The Art of the Deal.

They started the fight. Texas. Florida. North Carolina. Gerrymandered maps, rigged districts, stolen seats. They thought we would just roll over.
Virginia can answer back — but only tomorrow, April 21.

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.
