You're welcome. I just saw somebody (a man) close out our local sold out talent show using a locally-recorded song from the 80s that he knew about only because the historical society a.k.a. me digitized it and uploaded it to Facebook. He credited "the library." IT WAS NOT, so I feel you.

Not petty. I'm on the fence about saying something only b/c my experience with These Men is that they can make it your problem & sometimes it's upsetting how much their Fellow Men can sometimes not be the stand up guys you thought they were when wedged into a corner. I hope you have better outcomes!

If we're lucky though, the five+ decades of Hampshire grads can help dismantle this wretched system. (I'm F86, I am helping)

A woman is sitting at a table in a library. She is wearing dark glasses and is looking up and smiling while doing something with her hands on the table which is plugged in. Beneath the table there is a tan guide dog, wearing their harness, chilling.

It's National Library Week. Make sure that if you're sharing National Library Week images you include alt text because the library is for EVERYONE.

If people don't know what your image is, especially if it contains text, your post is not for everyone. Guidance:

Itโ€™s the first day of National Library Week ๐Ÿ“š

Take some time to reflect on everything libraries do and stand for and the threats they are facing.

Then think about how you can help.

It is National Library Week and the Library of Congress has done a cute nationwide thing with old card catalogs highlighting a lot of their core programs. I'm partial to their "Free to Use and Reuse Sets" but I'm sure we've all got our faves. ๐Ÿ“š

A reversed question would be: why has efficiency (and income) become literally the only metric through which we measure success? I like to own things, not lease them. And I like to remember when that was a viable option. And these mixtapes, they are something special. Thanks Hanif Abdurraqib.

I have a Google Voice number specifically so I could have some number that starts with 802 (the state's one and only area code, some people won't trust anything else). My first cell number was in MA so that's the number I still have so I mostly use area codes, but many people around here do not!

I just want to understand why my phone thinks I want to talk to my AirPods when they're quite literally in my pocket. They should be smart enough to know that they are in my pocket, literally touching each other, ergo not in my ears. We sent a woman around the moonโ€ฆ
