Finally made a proper list of active expeditions so you can see the progress easier. Is the sidebar taking up too much space now, or am I just used to playing the game without it?

Sometimes I wonder how much work streamers work on their stream and overlays compared to their, well.. Work 😆
That said, mini frogs should be top priority!

I like the orange 🤷‍♂️ Could add a border to show what slots "belong" to each item when they're placed. You can see pretty clear now from the shape of each sprite, but could make it even more readable.

Definitely the right priority. Forgot to reply the other post, but totally passable for a demo.

Are you clicking or hovering to open the right panel? Hovering might be a bit "spammy", but a bit hard to tell from a gif. Also the fonts don't work for me either. Better than the previous, but still not matching your game imo.

You're now able to take more risk by choosing how many cups of coffee to send on each expedition. Also, you can specifically serve coffee to your coldest guests, saving them from becoming frozen.

An early demo of Snowbound Café is out! Manage a group of people trapped inside a coffee shop, surviving on coffee alone. Let me know what day you reached!

It's about a group of people snowed in at a coffee shop. They only have coffee to keep warm until help arrives 😄

Facial expressions! 😯😩 Might have to improve the placement for the floating labels, though, as they cover a lot at the moment.

Even though I'm still in the middle of the retheme, changing to better character art made quite the difference 😊

In the middle of a retheme. Which means I now have a radioactive coffee shop...?

Systems getting closer to an MVP, but I imagine balancing will be hard. How do you work on balancing your game?

Added starvation when there's not enough food. I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for these guys while testing this mechanic...

Thanks a lot. The drag and drop wasn't even the worst, because my game state and visuals got out of sync all the time for some reason. So the cards showed one thing, but the actual data said something else, lol. Done pulling my hair out now hopefully 😄

Building a card prototype of the underground survival game to see what works better. Can't believe how long it took to make this card dragging and rearranging to work correctly. Learned tweens, though! 😎

Clean unstable seeds from expeditions, grow food, and survive under ground. Main mechanics getting closer to a testable prototype, but it still has a long way to go to make the game readable for the player. Any thoughts?

First time trying out lights in Godot, and added some flickering to them. Anyone know a good way to contain the light within each level here? For now it's just set to a convenient size to fit.

Been practicing communication between UI and game world the correct way. Super happy with the results, even though it's not the most flashy visually 😁

Haha, awesome! Thanks for the suggestion. It hasn't been a problem because they spawn at different times/rates. But I now see they perfectly line up in this video lol, so that'd be a good solution to prevent that from happening!

Long live the stick figure! Added faster enemies on horses that smash into the castle. Simply having multiple enemy types actually makes the game feel a lot more real.

The graphic style of your game is just fantastic. How do you achieve the cartoony wobble effect on your sprites? Is it a shader or do you redraw everything in slight variations?

Going old school with this one. It's time to bring back the stick figures!

Not exactly an Age of Empires sequel yet, but it's quite satisfying already to watch them gathering food and wood

Wanted to try an NPC controlled character to battle with. Now I'm stressed out by being chased every time I run my game.

Shoutout to the placeholder sprites:
