Anyone with an attached bank account or payment via Graze / AtProtoFans and has been receiving payments/donations are without a doubt verifiable. 😁
Maybe make @graze.social and @atprotofans.com trusted verifiers.

We're delighted to be hosting @richferro.com's NFL Playoffs custom feed in collaboration with @bsky.app today! This is a shining example of something only the open social web can do, and why open social will win 🧵
A few months ago @devingaffney.com and I launched @atprotofans.com, an experiment that shows how ATProtocol can support proof-of-payment records using the attestation spec that I've been working on for a while. Today I launched download.ngerakines.me, a digital content catalog using it. #ATProtocol
i'm prototyping some small widgets for @atprotofans.com creators, this one is the Supporter Stack!

setup my @atprotofans.com account. more because I can than because I should but even in the technical preview already works pretty smoothly! atprotofans.com/u/did:plc:aq...
Private data is needed for some of these things (including the role FB marketplace / Buy Nothing Groups play in communities)
@atprotofans.com and other work by @ngerakines.me points towards some public payments flows.
But really? Needs someone with a plan to build & grow their product vision.
Thanks everyone for joining our first community call!

🔴 LIVE https://stream.place/atprotofans.com Community Call
Part four of our "Building Recurring Payments in Public" series where close out to talk about brokers and their role in this model. We want to "lock open" and set the example for other services that want to operate this way.
Part three of our "Building Recurring Payments in Public" series where we look at real examples to show how our behaviors, constraints, and definitions come together to form the user experience.
Yeah, currently the plan is to use Google Meet, but I’m open to alternatives that are more easier to stream to @stream.place and record.
enjoying this series! thoughtful WIP design for recurring payments, cool to see :)
Our first community call is tomorrow. Join for conversation and reflection on our launch, the feedback we've gotten, and what's in store.
No ETA, but we've started work on it. We're currently working through the full roadmap and plan, and then balancing that on what a rebranded "actual product" looks like as opposed to the current technical preview and experiment.
Part two of our "Building In Public" series on the design of the recurring payments feature is out. With it, we exploring some of the user stories that shape this set of features and explain the thinking behind them. #BuildingInPublic #ATProtocol
Recurring payments is a complex set of features with development and user experience questions mingled together. This is something that I have a lot of experience with, so I've written a small series to go along with the engineering plan.
We're kicking off a "Building In Public" series on the design of the recurring payments feature. The first of this four part series gives some context about what we're trying to do and why it matters. #BuildingInPublic #ATProtocol

📣 We're hosting our first community call!
Thursday, Dec 18th at 4pm EST - one hour to talk about ATProtoFans, proof records, and what comes next moderated by @ngerakines.me.
Whether you're a creator, supporter, or just curious, you're invited.
Attestations (proof records) are a core component of supporter records. This morning we GA'd high-five.atprotofans.com and opened the code to show what building your own brokers looks like. Hop on and give someone a high-five to see it in action.
I gave @ngerakines.me a high-five!
Thanks for highlighting this! We'll spend some time adding a moderation document to the help section. We absolutely recognize that blocking controls are necessary and our goal is to create a safe space for both fans and creators.
That said, valid question and concern. It would be great if we could scope an app-password or use OAuth to create very long “offline” sessions.
It’s a user experience issue. Practically, there is no guarantee that all PDS implement treat expiration and refreshing consistently.
As a creator, I don't want to have to manually approve new supporters, or spend time debugging OAuth sessions in case they expire.
It seems like something that's really cool for creators on Blue Sky.
