Celebrating 400 Years of Sir Francis Bacon
Francis Bacon was a philosopher, scientist, statesman, and you can visit the ruins of his home Old Gorhambury House near St Albans.
Sir Francis Bacon, Baron Verulam of Verulam, Viscount St Alban died on 9 April 1626, and was buried at St Michael’s Church.
