and let me be clear, this is for absolutely mundane things. very friendly things. it gets silly almost

usually it comes down to two things: stepping away for a bit, then reassuring myself people are kind. this helps, but it can be frustrating - and i see why i struggle to communicate after all these years

one thing i've been trying to get better at is reading tone over text. not in the autism way (although i am sure it's not far-fetched to consider), in the, i am very hypervigilant - my brain distorts the wall of text into something horrifying/and angry way

limiting interactions cause i don't trust sonic fans LOL

i'm also biased since trying to develop my art around a pre-existing branding basically killed my passion for the series/and the art. so i'm just like... hm, maybe we CAN move passed basing our official art around an outdated sonic game model of nearly 20 years at all times

as i rekindle my passion, lowk my biggest gripe with modern sonic comics is sega's suffocation of art diversity in terms of style. wanting consistency and also trying *HARD* to not repeat mistakes with the branding, but... idk bros some of those older archie artists kinda cooked (jon gray)
