Exclusive | The $100 Billion Megadeal Between OpenAI and Nvidia Is on Ice Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has privately played down the likelihood the original deal will be finalized, although the two companies will continue to have a close collaboration.

The beginning of the end? I hope so.

I hear that, but it’s not :-) Democracy is not about efficiency. Also Councilor should be a full time job so they have time to listen and deliberate.

Both can happen :-) Beginning AND during!

That’s fair, so why start the meetings at 5pm on a Monday?! And if there’s going to be lots of public comment, continue the meetings to another day (we’ve done that before too). And why only have public comment at the beginning?! There should be public comment for every item that’s being discussed.

It’s a very good thing, and any attempt to curtail people from using their voice is a gross violation of the u.s. constitution as well as tar of the Commonwealth. It’s not the people’s job to advance discussion, it’s their job to speak out!

Senators Are Scrambling on a Deal to Avert a Shutdown After the Funding Package Fails Key Vote Senate Majority Leader John Thune said the White House is having “very constructive discussions and conversations” with Senate Democrats.

I’m genuinely glad and impressed that the Senate is taking its responsibilities seriously and has moved to defund the gestapo police. True patriots understand that liberty is not compatible with boot licking!

Um, yeah, that’s democracy for you! What does he expect? The people are not bureaucrats :-) The meetings are for them, not him!

What ICE Did to Alex Pretti Is Somehow Even Worse Than We Thought The Department of Homeland Security claims there’s no record of the incident, but I bet they’re lying their bureaucratic asses off.

It was clearly murder, but it sickeningly makes even more sense that it was a premeditated revenge killing :-(

Good news!

Yes, and it’s never been addressed :-( I’ve never understood why not. We have a Council office staffed by the Manager and funded by the Council. Hire some people to do constituent services on behalf of the entire City Council. Yes it’s tough work but both of my aides were able to do it well.

Two of the best in the business :-)

Shortsighted by definition, but not irrational, because forecasted demand may never materialize, as we’re about to experience with the insane GW AI data centers buildout that is bound to collapse before all that demand can become real.

New Revelations in the Renee Good Shooting Narrative Have Sent Everything Off the Rails With each passing hour, it feels like this situation becomes more shocking, volatile, and revealing of what’s in store for America in the coming months. And each new revelation brings new horrors.

Recognize! This is no accident or result of incompetence. It’s a deliberate provocation to generate civil unrest and create a pretext for canceling elections. open.substack.com/pub/sethabra...

I believe you are correct, although the language in the charter pertaining to inauguration is effectively the same as the Plan E Charter?

What the Epstein Emails Reveal I didn’t think the Epstein scandal could still shock me, writes Joe Nocera. I was wrong.

Yes, it is shocking, and disgusting! But wait, there’s more?! And the GOP-led Congress and Trump have been withholding the even more files why?! Fasten your seatbelts, there’s more shocks coming :-/

TLDR: The news is mostly not good :-/ Solar is a bright spot, and we certainly avoided some worse scenarios, but for the most part we’ve been failing badly to avoid preventable climate and ecological destruction :-/ And Trump is making it even worse! How are we so stupid?!

Financial support from Cambridge voters is also an indication that they are likely to vote for you :-) So the correlation is obvious, but it’s not clear if there is causation. Toner raised the most money in 2017 and lost. I was hoping for the same result for his lawyer this time, but no such luck.

I’m done “being” a Democrat. I’m not done voting for one if that’s my best option. But I can no longer in good conscience inhabit that identity. I am a Socialist. And clearly that’s not cool with the Democrats, so I’m no longer cool with them.

Wait, when did “secular” become a business term?! I’ve heard it used twice now in the context of business news :-/

Cambridge has plenty of room for bike lanes. The problem is all that car clutter that people are hanging on to. But it will soon (<20 years) be a non-issue as the cars will become robots :-)

Have you heard of Phoenix, AZ’s strive for “tree equity”? This means each of the city's neighborhoods will equally benefit from green space. This local action is especially important for heat-vulnerable communities, and will benefit the health of citizens and of our Earth. 🌎 #cities #climatepolicy
