Highly recommend this beautiful #flash fiction about enduring love by @tracieadams.bsky.social ๐
Iโm one of the lucky cohort who got to see an early draft of this in @smokelong.bsky.social workshop, too. It came together with such power & sad truth!!!
Bravo, Tracie & congratulations

"I stopped telling them when Bear came to the back deck, swatting the bird feeders, scattering seed like spilled time, then extending his heavy paw and asking if I wanted to dance."

Killed it. This might be my all time favorite @lmbayley.bsky.social piece.
Love love love every word of thisโ so flashy from the strong opening to the precision of the details to that unforgettable last line. Gawd, Linda.. you made me cry!! Congratulations!๐
Eeek! How exciting! Thank you, Matt! I canโt wait๐๐ผ
Gorgeous pic. Stirs the soul.
Just finished reading โIna-Baby: a love story in reverseโ by @thedrevlow.bsky.social published by @cowboyjamboree.bsky.social and it has already shifted my thinking about every word Iโve ever written. Like, I want I do- over. Burn it all down. My God, this book.
Bittersweet to read this gem by @kathrynsilverhajo.bsky.social in the farewell issue of @literaryruby.bsky.social ๐๐ผ
Kathryn, this is lovely. ๐
Lots of good stuff planned, Matt. I hope to hop in as much as I can between travels. โฅ๏ธ

Thanks, Lauren. I really appreciate you reading and taking a minute to comment. ๐
A sad, yet beautiful, story of the death of someone you do not know how to mourn. It reminds me of when my friend's boyfriend died. We never had any physical contact but I did love him in a way but I couldn't say that.
Bronwen, thanks so much for reading and taking time to share your thoughts. ๐
Lisa, thank you for reading. ๐
Thank you, Matt. I have a super smart teacher. ๐
โIf it meant nothing, then there was nothing to mourn.โ
โโฆ I had my own ways to celebrate our love. If thatโs what it was.โ

Canโt wait to read that essay. โฅ๏ธ
Donโt make me swim across that pond and make you publish that book before Jesus comes back. ๐
Thank you.โบ๏ธ
Praying my parents never read it. ๐ฌ๐
"We had tried to cauterize our separate childhood wounds with skin and sweat... In the van, with โBeast of Burdenโ blaring, we tried to numb ourselves and feel something better at the same time."
