Really important story in The Observer today about the hidden world of unregulated (illegal) placements for looked after children. Depressing to see they’ve been regularly reporting and nothing changes. Falls firmly into the “children deserve better” bucket.

One of my pet peeves - letters written about people’s care that the subject of the letter can’t understand.
Average reading age of 9 in England - if complex language is needed between professionals there should be a plain English explanation of what it means!

I think the challenge is if the assessor just thinks symptomatically about ADHD what else could be lurking around can be missed so it’s so important to get a robust and high quality developmental history etc…
