🕯️ Remembering Aberfan — 21 October 1966

Today marks the anniversary of the Aberfan disaster. On this day in 1966, a coal waste tip collapsed in the Welsh village of Aberfan, engulfing the Junior school and claiming the lives of 144 people, 116 of them children.
