I couldn't have timed the debut for the Mega Man X4 armor any better than for it to be shown for the first time at MAGfest 2026! I started this project many moons ago, and who would've thought this years theme was going to be Mega Man X!

It feels like a lifetime ago when this project started. I started this in 2020 during the pandemic and then life has thrown more than one curveball at me since then. It's weird how these things have such a fantastic way of working out because @magfest 2026 is Mega Man X themed!

I recently read the Manga for Rock Man X4 that was illustrated by Yoshihiro Iwamoto and felt very inspired to draw X and Zero in front of comic panels from that original Mega Man X4 Manga. 💙

It was so nice to get to participate in this fan collaboration. Mega Man Legends is one of my most favorite series ever, and to get to be a part of this was amazing. Being able to use my 3D modeling skills for a purely artistic endeavor was refreshing!

It's also so much fun coloring these guys in ways you don't get to see in the games. Because these were modeled in AutoDesk, they are 3D print ready! Maybe at some point I'll make a 1/8 scale statue.

Time to shake off the depression crud and start doing things again. I had so much fun 3D modeling this Reaverbot from Mega Man Legends and I'd love to finish another Reaverbot in the future.

I have FINALLY completed a Stormtrooper helmet design that I'm happy with! Getting the geometry just right to capture that Stormtrooper vibe while simultaneously changing characteristics of it to make it feel fresh and new has been tough with this one.
