As of his last legal defense fund filing, Lee was in debt 10k to his own committee, had about 100k in legal debts and now owes 138k to the general fund of the city. So he’s in the hole to the tune of a quarter million. Be ethical guys. It’s that’s easy.

He’s thousands of dollars in legal debt for that strategy makes it even funnier.

Shit posting in the real world on physical media is hilarious when you think about it.

Every now and then I can find a quiet beauty in LA’s crumbling infrastructure.

It’s like when LAPD started using that impossible to read font

5 months ago 4 0 1 0

Hoo, boy:

"is" is impossible to see, kerning is trash

"LA IS OPEN" is fuzzy at the edges whereas "RISE. REBUILD. REIMAGINE" is sharp

"OPEN" looks like they got the font from dafont

Center justified with a left justified tagline making it way lopsided

...typical Bass effort

I don’t consider myself an expert on graphic design or anything, but wow I hate it.

I would be very interested in sample language for a community impact statement to rally the ncs around with these various motions. Press freedom is incredibly important.

They already do. And they occasionally deny them as well. I’ve seen appeals on the police permit review agendas.

I feel like maybe it should just not be the job of any government to determine who is and is not a member of a free press

Watch as LA City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson awkwardly tries and fails to engineer a loss of quorum as an excuse to end public comment because too many people were demanding they take action about LAPD on horseback helping ICE by brutalizing protesters at #NoKings 2.0 in Downtown LA

Corey Palka the LAPD cop who tried to help cover up a rape. That Corey Palka? Why hasn’t he been brought up before ethics is what I want to know.

De minimis exemption going away basically ruining a small hobby that made me happy. I hate this timeline.

This neighborhood council has distributed red cards to every storefront in Reseda. They say it's a model How one group of hyperlocal officials are responding to ongoing concern about immigration raids.

Great work by @resedaforall.bsky.social and the Reseda Neighborhood Council, standing in solidarity with our neighbors, in every language. Time for LA City Council to take this effort across our whole city.

I staffed him once a few years ago and he was delightfully respectful to all the staff. That is not always the case with politicians. Take it with a grain of salt of course but that does mean something.

It promises a scenic overlook of the LA River. It’s a concrete tomb. What is this scenic overlook? Why does the park in an under parked neighborhood have to be turned into storm water capture?

8 months ago 3 0 0 0

It’s honestly so depressing how they will come into a community without any thought towards how the park is actually utilized and enhance that. It even takes away the bathroom. Only about 23% of the park will be left as open gathering space and you’ll have to cross over the rock swamp to get there

The city wants to turn the north half of one of the two main parks in Reseda in to a storm water capture park. This is the area where families meet to have parties with their families. Any given weekend multiple tents would be up. We were promised a splash pad. That’s not there.

Anecdotally I’m hearing our aggressive red card campaign has made a difference. It’s no where near enough, but folks are using the resources we are supplying to help defend employees and have a response plan. How to convince every other nc to follow suit?

Dhs/ice has their own horse cops here? That’s a new one to me.

I don’t count but my nc is absolutely papering our hood particularly the businesses with red cards and I got my first anecdotal report of it helping. Ice rolled up and they couldn’t get anyone bc of how the businesses responded.
