Today I had to use Godot's Gridmap. Never again

I yearn for the day that Unity uses modern C# features
- plastic scm says I have random changes (even when I didn't touch anything), but comparing files shows nothing
- plastic scm app isn't avaliable on arch for god knows what reason
- did you forget to give names to these???
I am taking back everything I have every said about #stride 's editor, I've opened unity yesterday and the experience is ass.
A few notes:
- frequent crashes (one every 5 minutes)
- doesn't reload scripts
- random bs errors and warnings
- old ass version of the dotnet runtime (I am in extreme pain)
I'm gonna see if there is a way to use an older version of the extension, or at least I will do so in the case I will pass the <250 devices requirement
Now: I can live with this. I mostly used the extension for suggestions, so that I wouldn't have to look up how things are named in the docs, but it doesn't change the fact that I didn't ask for this and yet, I am forced to adapt
This is not a separate extension, this is the same thing, that was previously free, that has now been replaced with a supposedly better version, but a non-free version
As it turns out, Avalonia is, in fact, still FOSS, however their Accelerate program is not. And as of recently, I guess the extension for visual studio code that I have been using is a part of that
I get that development is expensive, but ffs you call yourself FOSS
Also, either I misread it or something changed, but just because I want to make things for free, it doesn't mean I am eligible to use the community edition? Pay you? With what?
The funny thing is that Avalonia (the library) is actually quite terrible out of the box and you have to code your own crap to make it work - this is why there are a lot of other paid libraries that do just that. So at this point, what is even happening with these verification and licenses?
god, this interface is confusing. TLDR: the ui library I am using is "Open Source", but in reality there is a license if you use it for professional use. This is fine, except that as time goes on I'm starting to feel like I am slowly loosing access to it with all the bs they require to setup
excsuse me, what the fuck is this?
I think the use of ai art was a deliberate choice to highlight how their fork isn't made for creativity but a grift
The whether widget bubble will pop
if you dislike streaming music, the option to purchase is there
now, how tf do I watch pluribus?
if only chocolate manufacturers implemented some kind of telemetry to have statistics on how many people start dividing chocolate bars from the side
For the first time I viewed one of those recaps that some platforms provide and god, it's so creepy. I get that we are being spied on constantly, but that feature is literally just showing you how much the platform knows about you
one day, I will be able to scroll with the middle mouse button in discord on linux. I believe
the gabe cube does not have a disc drive slot :(
I always get confused why people are upset when a console doesn't have exclusive games, while also being upset that streaming services have too many exclusive titles

Today is the 30th anniversary of Hackers
I hate how people always sell having your own music collection as objectively superior to streaming. It's more expensive and more of a hassle managing your playlists on multiple devices. Yeah self hosting is a thing, but that's even more of a hassle. And you also pay for electricity hosting it
I do not remember plugging her into my computer
Note: this is the third time a will wood song broke my music player
There needs to be more horror games like old sl, where the horror isn't "big scary creature", but the fact that you can loose everything at every moment and receive extreme punishment when you die
I must have some kind of electric super powers. The amount of times I create a spark when trying to use my computer is ridiculous. Even managed to crash it yesterday
