Start thinking about who is going to be where, and how to manage comms support for your org in case of a #crisis or #emergency.

⭐️Get your team together and know how to contact back ups.

⭐️Establish a process to connect virtually.

⭐️Be #prepared to #respond.

They do indeed. You need to connect to your audience. I use them is crisis and emergency comms training too. They are fact-based - what happened? What are you doing about it (your response) and what actions should the public take? (As a minimum - stay informed with credible sources.)

Yesterday, I was invited to deliver a "fast and focused" session to a group that supports social well-being in their community. I introduced message maps to create empathetic and focused messaging and the need to understand the rule of "three."

Are you using Message Maps in your organization?

I like that idea. Every community has well-established networks. We just need to be optimizing them.

During the delivery of a #Crisis and Emergency Comms workshop today, I discussed the concept of a Community Outreach Info Network - COIN to help with message dissemination.

The group did amazing work #preparing these!

Your message will never reach everyone - but, a COIN will help!

Oban had a little medical issue yesterday, and has been underperforming in his office assistant role today.
