Christine is also the president of my library's Friends group in Scotch Plains. This recognition is so well-deserved!

This weekend, read a book. Any book. A serious book. A frivolous book. A cozy book. A bodice ripper. A fantasy escape. An old favorite. A new release. Go to a library or bookstore, pick five that seem interesting, read all the first pages, then take the one that grabs your interest the most.
Happy International Women’s Day!
I celebrate four inspiring women from history in my books. My research opened my eyes to the many other women who did amazing things, but whose names and achievements we’ll never know because they weren’t written alongside the history of the men in their lives.
We're fundraising for public libraries again! 📚This week, when you donate $15 USD or more to your public library, friends of a library organization, or the @amlibraryassoc.bsky.social, you'll receive a free audiobook credit 💓
Last year, we raised $55,000. How much will we raise this year? ⏬
a brown wire-haired pup stands on a wooden deck in a grassy yard. he looks at us with golden eyes and his right ear flipped inside out. he has a pipe-shaped stick in his mouth, giving him the appearance of a sophisticated and dapper gentleman. just give him a deerstalker cap and a cloak, and he'd give Sherlock Holmes a run for his money.
This pup found a stick shaped like an old timey pipe earlier today and has already solved three mysteries. 13/10

Thank you Eugene Goodman for saving Democracy during the Capitol insurrection #January6th
My last pick for #libfaves25 is WHO IS GOVERNMENT by Michael Lewis et al. Stories of the dedicated government employees who do important work that we might not even be aware of. People who truly understand the concept of public service. Loved this on audio.
#libfaves Day 9 is THE LAST DAYS OF MARILYN MONROE by James Patterson & Imogen Edwards-Jones. This was a well-researched look at the dichotomy of Marilyn knowing her worth and working toward it while also getting in her own way.
Day 8 of #libfaves25 is SAY YOU'LL REMEMBER ME by Abby Jimenez. Samantha and Xavier have a meet cute at his vet office that almost goes awry. But after one amazing date, Samantha moves 2000 miles away. Can they make long distance work? Family drama, travel snafus, and a cute kitten! (read on audio)
Day 7 of #libfaves25: THE WONDROUS LIVES AND LOVES OF NELLA CARTER by Brionni Nwosu. A generations-long standoff between Death, who is ready to end humanity, and Nella, who uses the long life he gives her to prove that there is love in the world, despite her loneliness.
On the 6th day of #libfaves25, my pick is DEATH AT THE WHITE HART by Chris Chibnall. Reminiscent of his show Broadchurch, this small village mystery has lots of characters, all with motives. Kept me guessing, satisfying throughout. Should mention i enjoyed this one on audio.
Pick 5 for #libfaves25 is LAURYN HARPER FALLS APART by Shauna Robinson. Lauryn had escaped her hometown and plotted a perfect plan for success, until one mistake puts her back where she started. Can she get back on track or will she decide to redefine success?
Day 4 for ##libfaves25 is THE POPPY FIELDS by Nikki Erlick. Four strangers and a dog journey together to a place that offers healing with a possible catch. As they each wrestle with the ways grief has impacted them, they also make unexpected connections. And, yes, also plenty of Ozian references
My official Day 3 pick for #libfaves25 is BEFORE DOROTHY by Hazel Gaynor. Auntie Em's backstory is a testament to family, motherhood, and the hard work it takes to live your dream. Lots of Easter eggs for Oz fans.
My second pick for #libfaves25 is THE GIRLS OF GOOD FORTUNE by Kristina McMorris. After Celia is kidnapped for forced labor, despite one twist after another, she won't let anything stop her from getting back home.
Catching up on #libfaves25. Starting with THE MADEMOISELLE ALLIANCE by Natasha Lester, the story of Marie-Madeleine Fourcade and her badass resistance during WWII.

The CDC Library plays an important role in providing our public health professionals with access to the best information.
Without them, CDC employees will lose access to information and resources in an outbreak.

My street is being paved today, so I left early and took myself and my book out to breakfast before work - so delightful!

We discussed this book at my library today. Several of us marked it a favorite of the year so far. I need to find time to visit The Met!
Great day at #alaac25 yesterday (exhibits only). Hoping to run into more friendly faces there today!
Pippin smirking
‘TBR? You’ve already got one.’
‘We’ve got one, yes. What about *second* TBR?’
For no reason, just because, I mean why not, here's this year's iteration of our annual beach-read feature, To Beach Their Own, written by three Human Editors.
