Any examples of games you think do team play well?

I guess I'll have to blog about this tomorrow, but "LOL, Trump TACO'ed out" is decidedly not the right reaction as compared to "that kind of brinkmanship is really fucking dangerous".

PSA: Since the retirement of Kubernetes Ingress-Nginx [^1], I've been very happy using F5 NGINX Ingress Controller [^2]. I should have been using it all along. Yes, I was confused about the naming, too. #k8s #nginx

There need to be consequences for leaders who avoid solving the root causes of problems. A first step: institute a threshold for ATC staffing (if one exists, it clearly isn't enough), and when an airport falls below the threshold, don't clear flights to land until more controllers come on duty.
A pluggable calendar API was part of an earlier version of the proposal, but it was dropped due to complexity and limited use cases. You can read more about the reasoning and options in github.com/tc39/proposa....
Hi! Thanks for the suggestions.
A calendar-like abstraction for times of day was considered (called a "time scale" or "time calendar"), but it was not included due to limited use cases. It could still be added later.
3. An additional field larger than months but smaller than years was considered, but it was ultimately rejected because it doesn't translate well across locales and calendars. For example, there are Quarters, Seasons, Semesters, Trimesters. We suggest clients build these on top of Temporal.
2. Additional calendar systems such as the Christian liturgical calendar can be added later after they land in CLDR. There are multiple open CLDR issues for supporting more calendars. This is less a "design flaw" and more a resourcing issue.

Hi! I'm a champion for Temporal focusing on Intl support.
1. We shipped with minimal week-of-year support. More features can be added later. Tracking issue: github.com/js-temporal/...

A big accomplishment! As a champion, it is rewarding to move the needle on dates and times not only in JavaScript but across the industry, especially for non-Gregorian calendars. And as an implementer, ICU4X was born in part out of Temporal and now powers Chrome, Boa, and Kiesel. ๐
Overheard people who make six figures complaining that BART, which needs the money, is raising their fares, from $4.88 to $5.15 on average. ๐คจ
I'm looking at you, @bart.gov: great way to make more revenue and reach an additional market segment.

I am absolutely a fan of upgraded train cars on regional trains, like the Keihan railway between Osaka and Kyoto. Every city should have these. ๐

It was great to visit Tokyo for JSConf.jp and TC39 last week! Now I'm down in Kyoto being mesmerized by the fall colors. ๐
Have you tried incognito mode, or using a different Google account?
I started using Transit App more frequently after Google Maps removed the advanced timetable route searching feature. Apparently I'm in a small minority for wanting to see more than the top 4 results.
I still can't reproduce this. But, it's really important to give feedback, which does feed into product decisions. Google loves to run A/B tests, and it's important to give signals that your CUJ is being broken.
I use Transit in the Bay Area and it works well, though when I'm traveling it doesn't always have the city covered. I also use company-specific apps like the BART App for better real time data.

Did I just see an ad with the Oakland Ballers on the World Series? @oaklandballers.bsky.social โพ

Really exciting to see this finally coming together! It's been a long journey for myself and many others, and I'm very happy with where we've landed.
I've heard people describe the Oakland Ballers as a "low-level minor league team". Wrong: they are a team of high-caliber players disenfranchised from MLB, like their fans. Just look at Bufford, Almanza, Chewy, etc, all very talented, and manager Aaron Miles, a World Series alum. #LetsGoOakland โพ
๐ ๐ Ballers fam, @MayorBarbaraLee just announced that we're going to keep the party going! ๐ See you there! ๐พ
Hey @susanslusser.bsky.social: this is a big milestone for Oakland baseball! Please cover it in the Chronicle sports pages.
OAKLAND WE DID IT!!!! ๐
I love Cam Bufford. He casually smashes the ball 400 ft, glances over, and jogs the bases like it's a piece of cake. Two nights in a row!
It felt like a very heavy object hit my bed and then sent vibrations rolling down a hill. I'm a bit freaked out if it was only a 4.3! (Oakland, about 2mi from epicenter)
US air carriers usually send automated refunds without asking, in compliance with the law (and since they have all your data). Although I hear they might be deregulating the airlines again so we'll see if this sticks.
What does it say when Idaho Falls intentionally WALKS Christian Almanza, not once but TWICE in the same game for the Pioneer League championship? He's the silver slugger of Oakland, baby! #LetsGoOakland โพ @oaklandballers.bsky.social
