Ep2 of The Legend of Zelda: Cycles of Power is now out!
This is the third session or our LoZ, PF2e campaign.
In this episode the Guardians cross the Gerudo Desert in search of a new home in the distant Kingdom of Holodrum.
What dangers will they face in the deadly desert?

Yeah. The "Paths of Hyrule" fan made content I've been using for it have been really high quality.
I'm running two Zelda PF2E games at the moment, this one as a private game, and the other one The Legend of Zelda: Cycles of Power, we are recording and editing for YouTube.
Artwork of the Helmasaur King from the video game The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past. A red four legged dinosaur with a metal facemask and a long tail with a sunburst at the end.
Really fun Pathfinder 2e session tonight.
The players finally faced the Helmsaur King, that they've been preparing for for some time.
The fight really started badly, with several critical failures against Fireball Breath, but a nat20 from the Fighter to disarm the helmet turned things around.
I am usually the GM, but when I get in the player's seat, this is exactly how I play. I drive my characters like a stolen car.
It's more fun that way. The worst thing that can happen is that I get to make a NEW Character! Exciting!
In PF2e, I'm partial to classes/feats/archetypes that give daily free consumables. If I know I have X number of free potion/scrolls/talismans each day, I am going to use them, because *not* using them becomes the waste.
So using a consumable to secure a win, when total victory is not 100% otherwise is worthwhile.
But still, I'm not going to use them without good cause. Usually because we picked them up for a specific reason. If I just happened across something, I'm not going to use it until I NEED to.
I think one of the main issues with consumables in any game is that, if I can win without expending them, it is (theoretically) optimal not to use them.
In a TTRPG there is more incentive, since losing a fight could mean a dead PC not just a reloaded save. Assuming resurrection isn't on the table.
You should.
I love GURPS, it is by far my favorite system.
Not right for every campaign!
But an excellent system for what it does.
A video thumbnail. Title says, "The Legend of Zelda: Cycles of Power: Episode 2: Across the Desert" The image shoes a pig like humanoid, a moblin from the Legend of Zelda franchise, holding a sword and shield. the background is a desert. In the bottom right corner is an Anti-AI logo.
Tomorrow!
The next episode of our Legend of Zelda: Cycles of Power campaign is planned to be released tomorrow.
If you haven't seen Episodes 0 and 1, please give them a look. I have great plans for this campaign, and I'm very excited to share it with everyone.

Yes. I completely agree.
I like the fantasy of a character using a whip, but even in fantasy, a whip shouldn't be slicing people up as well as a sword.
But the various traits they give it make it seem a reasonable choice for anyone invested in Athletics.
I also love GURPS, and I want everyone to experience GURPS, and I want everyone to love it like I do, if they can.
I love GURPS. I want you to love GURPS too. Itβs so much fun. We should play it sometime.

So if I understand this correctly, Ogre Battle 64 would be a Quest 64?
This was my first Zelda game, one of my first video games in general. I love it so much. One of my favorite video games of all time.
Episode 1 of The Legend of Zelda: Cycles of Power is now up!
A TTRPG played using the Paths of Hyrule supplement for Pathfinder 2e.
Episode 1 is our 2nd session. See Episode 0, for a side quest where we met the PCs before this the real start to the main campaign.

Matt Colville released a video this morning, and I wanted to add my 2 cents to it.

Looking for a Pathfinder 2e campaign to join as a player, that would play on Mondays in the early evening in European time.
Something starting between 7pm and 9pm Madrid time, and going no later than midnight.
Either on stream, recorded, or private games, I'm just looking to be a player for once.
The newest episode of my JRPG inspired Pathfinder 2e campaign, Tales of Principles has just been released!
Please check it out!
Thank you to @pannaps.bsky.social and the rest of the players for playing.

an illustration of two characters seated, embracing in a kitchen. one is visibly crying, the other hidden away with two large spectral wings on his back. an eerie moonlight glow comes from the right.
π£ tell me it gets easier
As a player, I don't always make this PC which is a mistake, but the most fun I've had is when I do.
I am mostly a GM, so a mistake I commonly make when making a PC, is coming up with a concept for a cool character, but after two or three sessions, I realize I made a cool NPC. :P
As a GM, the character with ambition.
It doesn't really matter *what* their goal is.
Just that the ideal PC is self-motivated, has something they are after, and will scheme, and plan, and propose adventures to go about getting it.
Been slowly re-reading "The Hobbit" during my limited downtime at work, and... man, it really makes me want to run a new hexcrawl campaign.
Lots of good inspiration there.
