The '3.5% rule': How a small minority can change the world https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20190513-it-only-takes-35-of-people-to-change-the-world
At least 12 million people ( 3.7% of US pop) took a stand against the Trump regime and fascism on Saturday.
The next step is a national general strike and boycotts. When 3.5% of the whole population of a nation has begun to participate in resistance, success is inevitable. #3E #NoKings #StopICE

I agree we'll be dealing with the damage long after I'm dead. Still, better late than never. They want us to learn helplessness and give up - that's exactly what your post is doing. It makes me think of all those people who didn't vote because it was "simply too late." Don't give up.

As a chronically anxious perfectionist, I always feel that I come up short, that I could & should do more & be better. I've always envied my husband who just *does not* do this. Last night, (after 15 years of marriage), he explained his secret: "It's "W.A.R"" he said, "Wins Above Replacement." 🧵

This disconnected voter voted for her own self-interest, without thinking about impacts to other people. Her priorities allowed voting for a known lying cheating sexual predator racist if she benefitted and only other people get hurt. Is this the lesson on reaching disconnected voters?

This is excellent. It eloquently captures what I'm trying to do, (but haven't articulated as clearly.)

In all seriousness, I will continue to shout from the rooftop that as much as you can afford and manage, it's going to be more important than ever to have (and manage, and rotate) a robust emergency supplies stock.
Federal emergency response is not something anyone should depend on under Trump.

Screenshot of ny mag intelligencer article headline, it reads: Trump Picks ‘Dancing With the stars cast’ not a cabinet. Picks like noem, must and Hegseth fit classic reality-show archetypes”
Don’t think NY Mag is using this site yet but this is quite an astute take, that a grifty reality TV president would nominate a bunch of grifty influencer-types is very much like what he learned to do on from nbc

Yep. All the 20/20 hindsight BS is really old. Instead of accepting that the US has a bunch of dumb people who don't want to vote for a black woman, they search desperately for a way to say "if only..." She ran a great campaign.
