I want to see Mike Johnson & his cronies live on off-brand Saltines, peanut butter, jelly & canned tuna for a week. Maybe a few packs of ramen, if they dare splurge a little.
Be sure to have lots of blankets for when the heat gets turned off.
Comfy shoes for walking when they can't afford gas.

I wasn't convinced until the apple butter part 🙂
Can we, maybe, figure out a way to keep your beta cells from suddenly deciding they're good now and will "help" when you've already taken exogenous insulin?
Something maybe worth noting is that all the frog costumes and signs and good-natured memeing came about because a wide spectrum of Americans saw someone in direct, brave confrontation with ICE—getting pepperballed and standing their ground—and thought “that’s awesome. That person is a hero”
I watched it again for the first in decades last night. I had pretty much the same thought.
I can not be trusted to text myself (or someone else). Just like I can not be trusted to manually write down the result of a blood test. I depend on my pump to do these things for me.
Keep going...
Wouldn't it be better to have said, "The Ilithid sucks!"?
I guess maybe it isn't serious to her. To me, the constant clock of "I die in 3 days or less without insulin" seems pretty serious. 🤔🤷♂️
Thank you, Jes, for bringing a smile to my face. I was going to argue with the last point, but it still stands. (Even though I haven't played D&D in years).
As a "heads up" Lyumjev can sting. I eased into using by mixing it 50/50 with humalog. I'm not sure if there are any contraindications for doing that with novolog. At this point, I find the sting useful becasue if I fon't feel a bolus of 3u or more, it ususally means a dead site.
FWIW, I shared it on a private discord with a bunch of creatives. Your wife is correct. Wives frequently are. It should not be so hard for us to accept that and act in accordance with that knowledge.
Even if they both were, my impression is that Valhalla is for warriors who died heroically in battle. My read on Kirk is there was no heroism in his approach to "debates". Nor do I think any Viking would consider the events at UVU a battle. 🤷♂️
Yes! Tell her.
IMHO Itch is much more effective than pain. But, your mileage may vary.
One of my players was very disgruntled his toon got itch successfully cast on him and he had to take off his boot to deal with the distraction.
Aide from Donald Trump’s marriage vows there is no oath so commonly broken as a state legislator’s oath to uphold the constitution.
Saethor's Bane has the added advantage of being a choose your own adventure so it works well for teaching yourself the rules.
The link for Mission X did not make the stream.

This is under development, but has had significant blind testing.
Later in the stream, Tony discussed that an intro adventure should be playable (with pre-gen characters) without having read/digested the [entire] rules.
A product that I think does an excellent job of that is Saethor's Bane. gaming-ballistic.myshopify.com/products/sae...
One of the things that made the worst reader the best player was he didn't expect his sheet to tell him what his character would/could do. He was thinking, "how would my toon address/overcome the problem we have now?" Thus we had a paladin that picked locks and knew some alchemy
Last night I was on the Eclectic Goat's stream (www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7th...) talking about EGURPS. There are a few things I didn't manage to get in. (That may have had something to do with a couple of significant tangents we took.)
See my replies to this.
When the moment came, Harvard didn’t hedge or flinch—it stood up. A reminder that integrity isn’t complicated, it’s just rare.
I'd believe DEI lowered standards more if RFK didn't get into Harvard by submitting his name as his essay. That the two best people I've worked with in the last 5 years were black women tells me something, and it isn't that DEI lowers standards.
BTW, I am count towards hiring disabled folks.
Definitely. I remember using Windows 95, Window 3.1, DOS 6.2, TRS 80 Models II and III and the Apple IIplus.
I'll add that you need to drink some water well before you feel you need to. Please drink!
@mmasnick.bsky.social Did you need another burning dumpster of an example of the Streisand Effect?
Heh. Most of my group at this point would say, "that is past my bed time. Can we reschedule?"
I did learn last year that my brain goes to bed so far as GMing goes sometime between 10:30p and 1:30a.
Mutual aid is good and right but it isn’t going to manufacture the insulin, needles and blood sugar testing equipment I need to live
And here I had been blaming two years of lockdown and only using my "Zoom voice" for the fact that I can't seem to project my voice anymore. Huh.
