I made my band's website a working cassette player with R3F

- insert tapes to play our songs and demos
- pick up various notes, photos, and desk trinkets
- procedural VU meter, tape hiss, and warble via web audio filter chain

A coworker would Slack me a bug. I'd copy it, paste it into Claude Code, watch it fix the issue in under a minute. Then I'd do it again. Bug reports, UX complaints, feature requests.

Do you miss the filters on the left?

Our custom component was definitely better, but required a huge custom Algolia integration that was difficult to maintain

The Algolia drop-in component does most of what the old component did with zero fuss

We intend to bring back the filters on its foundation
