As a kid watching City Limits late at night which was a Canadian alternative music video show, I discovered Simple Minds. After all these years and owning their early releases on vinyl I am finally seeming them live in Toronto on June 18 with Soft Cell and Modern English.

Amidst all this doom and gloom since the 20th, I have received good news in the last couple of days. I can’t really disclose what it is about yet but the one thing I can celebrate is that one of my piano students got into a prestigious art school that a kazillion people are trying to get into!
I was told yesterday who the nominees are for the Juno Award for “Electronic Album of the Year” and I am pleased. It’s my last year as Chair for this award. I’m happy to be stepping down with a big bang! I look forward to Juno week in Vancouver. Booked my hotel and flight yesterday!
