I think you got it. Try changing the sizes and shapes, making it slimmer or blocky or short or tall etc.
Note your interpretations of body shapes, like maybe a character made of all triangles looks dangerous to some but strong to others.

Aw heck Drake's design got updated again.
This is likely gonna be the last time I change his design this much though. Part of what brought this on was that I wanted to start moving away from the unrealistic hyper masculine physique that I used to draw, and I wanna do more natural looking body shapes

Habitual practice and tons of patience. I try something new with almost every new piece, I allow myself to fail then quickly learn from my mistakes, and I schedule a time to practice once per day.
A few good video tutorials and drawing references didn’t hurt either.
