More Year of Shame Challenge content has landed. For anyone who enjoys video games, and has too many, this is probably your kind of thing.

Thanks rec ππ
Oh lord. Thanks. It all feels fine now, but then that's been 10 days π
Grey area that, but I always redeem right away so thankfully I don't have to wreck my head over that decision!
First game of 2026 finished. TrΓΌberbrook. A lovely hand-crafted art style, funny script and some cracking music in places. The usual point and click annoyances. But great to finish it.

This year I'm doing the @yearofshame.bsky.social - a whole year with no cosy Humble Choice or GamePass subscriptions. No game purchases. Nothing.
There's a monthly podcast to go with it (see the Year of Shame account for the feed), and it'll be a fun trip into the backlog.

Flamme Rough and Beaver Creek both got a run out on Xmas Day. #boardgames
Dear Santa, you're the best. X
Volyfyirion is on the table! #boardgames
I cannot wait to see the series @dannyodwyer.bsky.social - I've spent the last 6 years enjoying a tonne of games but waiting for that one game to utterly lose myself in. I can't consume enough content about it, and your excellent content, combined with the game I'm most hyped about is a heady mix π
Taught my kids Star Realms today. Great, simple, quick deck builder / card battler.

Lovely looking game, but man alive it is HARD.
There's a very lovely time to be had with this game, except if you scoot the floofs off the side of a mountain π

Movie night. Bourne Ultimatum. Absolutely love the hectic filming style. πΏπ¬π₯
I just hit Level 3000 in Rocket League, which is completely bonkers. Something like 14,500 games (at a win ratio of 50.3% π€£)
I'm not even remotely into Pokemon, but the collecting thing has tapped into my brain.
Maddening how the rules incentivise the sale of homegrown players. Will be missed.
π€£. Yeah it's that or an actual blood transfusion mid race
On the table today, one of my favorites, Flamme Rouge. Played with the Peloton expansion which allowed for a breakaway situation, which didn't go well for my poor exhausted rider. Great game to play with kids this one as it's simple to play (but still tactically intriguing)

On the table today, The 7th Continent, a game I tried ages ago, didn't get, forgot about, then reread the rule-book and realised it is actually great!!!

Just finished this one and I really enjoyed it. Total page-turning stuff and what I'd describe as a really slow twist, where the whole thing ends so very differently to how it starts. Enjoyed.

Just finished Orbital, and it was a thought provoking read. I don't always get on with Booker Prize winning books, often too many big words! But this one covers a lot of ground in not many pages, portrays the claustrophobia of space travel and provokes some global/existential thinking π€
I lost two times out of three. Hitting it hard and early seemed to work, before it could ramp up its own attacks.
Star Realms made it off the shelf today. Currently in a deciding leg vs Automatons

That's so cool. Poor Norman is gonna get red flagged as an absolute xxx fiend π€£
Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton, take a bow.
