It’s the nature of considering young players, they develop and mature at different rates. Some realise their perceived potential early, some eventually, others never. The lottery of investing heavily in a young player!

He’s great, he comes across really well when interviewed as well, seems a genuinely good guy!

Who will pay the buy out clause figure for a player with a clearly suspect temperament? Opponents will now target him for more to try and make him snap.

Clearly had his arm up his back to come to us. If he doesn’t want to be here we don’t want him - would have probably looked to move on as soon as he could.

There is some of that, but it’s more about securing a better deal in the summer when he inevitably goes. Interesting to see what the release clause is.

I’m taking my grandchildren down for the Fulham game, it’ll be my granddaughters first men’s game, feeling guilty in case I’m condemning her to a lifetime of frustration and disappointment! However I took her to the women’s game at Newcastle last time and she was shouting for Newcastle 2nd half!

It’ll be interesting to see if Cunha is in the team with the end of the window so near and all the speculation around him leaving for Forest/Arsenal/Villa! Will be a real indication of whether he is staying or going.
