I live in California and have been through a wildfire, & have interacted with many firefighters. This βinmate as slaveβ disinformation trope pops up at every fire crisis. Reality is that ALL wildland firefighters are underpaid, they work hard & get exhausted during a crisis, but they are dedicated.
Be careful of these kinds of posts. They come up regularly and are usually debunked. Thereβs a lot of misinformation out there. Please check the veracity of your source.
