This is a wonderful article that gets to the core of why we still need humans, even if they are massively enhanced by AI.

Agreed. One of the best that I have seen recently. Thanks for sharing.
Yes indeed. It was a huge wrench for me when I decided to leave the ecosystem. I used to frequent WordCamps and everything. The upside though is that I forced myself to learn new stuff which has worked out well for me in the end.
That's the one. Probably the single worst misstep in the history of open source.
I completely agree with this take. I invested over a decade learning WordPress and the Gutenberg editor drove me away. Sad really.
If you don't like the current obsession with all things AI, prepare to see your nightmare future in the Agentic State.
Fancy having AI rule everything in your life?
They're working on it.

Electronic airport advertising stating “Talk to a helpful human on the United App” with a picture of someone holding a phone with an image of a smiling United employee.
Last year, I predicted we’d see during the next 2 years promotions for AI-free experiences.
I just saw my first one.
United is now advertising their customer service app is a human, not an AI.
People don’t want to be handled by machines. Nobody likes being on the receiving end of AI.
Another wonderful article. @frontenddogma.com is the best source of interesting technical news and opinion out there.
This is such a great article. I'm fascinated by JavaScript and the ecosystem around it. Old enough to remember it in the early days too.

The best tech surprise of the year by far is KOReader. A fantastic, powerful and Open Source alternative document reader that you can use on your Kindle. It's so good it has blown my mind.

Railway bridge crossing canal with blue sky and green trees.
I do like this old railway bridge that crosses over the canal. It's actually the start of a viaduct. Those Victorians built to last.

I can confidently attest that it is in fact the 'new' WordPress. Except it's better in every way and obviously built by passionate people who know what worked in the old paradigm (and what didn't). A breath of fresh air.

A view of the Rochdale canal in early spring, showing reflections of bare trees.
The canal. Our 'linear park'. A nice place for a quiet walk.
