Donโt just let it be terrible, LEAN INTO it being terrible, because no oneโs going to see it.
I only bring this up because someone mentioned just this week that this trick is useful, but I *still* 30 years in, when stumped, write this on the top of the page.
A copy of the graphic novel adaptation of A Wizard of Earthsea. The cover shows a figure walking away from an ocean. The figure's shadow stretches out long and looming behind them.
We're thrilled that Fred Fordham's graphic novel adaptation of A Wizard of Earthsea is a finalist for the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story or Comic!

Unreliable narrators.
So difficult to get right, but so satisfying when you do.
When you're stalking your submissions on the grinder and the red rejection lines move past the date you submitted and you haven't gotten a rejection email yet...๐ค

I'm never going to understand why I should not love immigrants just as much as I love anyone else. It's like the biggest moral issue of our times for a lot of people and it's totally meaningless. Lemme solve it real quick: line on map doesn't matter, human matters.
I would want to write a limited series of the Dharma Initiative vs the Others in the 70s timeline that ends with the truce. Yes, I am the only person that wants more LOST.
I would travel, be curious, learn new things. Read soooo many books. And rest.
it's national library week, please go ask your local public librarians for a book recommend; we need a break from the photocopier. #booksky
One of many.
Thatโs wonderful!
Theirs is a special kind of magic โจ
I hope you have a cool title like Book Detective ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ
Thank her for her service. ๐
Librarians are amazing. You can ask them about a book you think might have been a dream, but youโre pretty sure you read when you were eleven and the cover was blueโฆand theyโll find it! ๐๐
This Is Just To Say
I have turned off

and so annoying
Don't judge your first drafts. They aren't good or bad, they just are. Their job is to exist and you build from there. It's so much easier to start writing when you take that pressure away.

It took forever to open just now. ๐
Took a peak at my submission spreadsheet and 95% of my subs are due for a response in May. ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ Don't know how that happened.
It's never too late or too early to write a review online for a book you like. Just sayi--whoops I tripped and dropped this link:
Good morning,
This week is gonna happen whether you write down that story you've been daydreaming about or not. Might as well write it.

They had such great questions. How fun!
Last night was the first night of the year I got to sleep with the window open. ๐ฅฐ Temps are going to tank in a few days, so I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
A grid photo of 16 different characters all played by the legend Tim Curry.
Tim Curry, the absolute legend, turns 80 today. This man took huge swings.
Today I:
-Got a story ready for submission
-Mowed the lawn
-Chatted with the neighbor without being awkward
-Ran 4.5 miles
-Clean Sheet Day!!!
I hope your Saturday was what you needed it to be.
Happy โSinnersโ Day!
