and the last chapter reads one sentence: “If none of us is prepared to die for freedom, then all of us will die under tyranny.”

We are all responsible for protecting the collective and defending our democracy.

Finished ‘The Message’ by Ta-Nehisi Coates and I’m left with so much to think about. His perspective on culture and identity is eye-opening and essential. WOW.

I just finished reading it! He has a beautiful way of writing. Every sentence feels intentional and has a powerful message.
