My fave bookshop with my loves. ✨ 📖 🌲
I have to post this again because it’s the PERFECT cosy holidays reading nook and you can order brunch in front of an open fire to your seat…
It's me! An acquisitions book editor with a gift: Don't send your proposal over the winter break.
I know, I know, you'll have time. But we'll all come back to hundreds of them and it'll be super overwhelming and reading time will be compromised. Just hit us up in February! Or any other month!
If you want somewhere to sit in Edinburgh- I’d highly recommend!
Whippet real good. ✨

Van life and the local buzzard.
Wrapped some Christmas presents, made a roast dinner, finished a scarf. Wholesome. ✨🎄🔥

The real luxuries in life.
Festive Things this week. ✨🎄 any glimmers in your world!?!
I’ve been itching to get these and read them — it’s @russellnohelty.bsky.social & @clairevenus.bsky.social How To Build A World-Class Substack plus Russell’s authorship books!
Wo0t!!
Yay!! Let us know how you get on?! ✨✍️
I’ve curated an anthology called ‘The Rejection Palace’. I’ve dedicated it to my friend who died by suicide. It’s only the start of the rest of the work I can do to work towards saving the lives of others who are dancing with feelings of not being enough.
But it is a brilliant start.
In better understanding the amount of ex military men who have taken their life, we need to also understand a society they come back into where nothing changes. For them, everything changed.
Have you been here? The view serves as a reminder of what we are working to protect.
What’s everyone writing this week? ✨

My Husband Dave and Stella the whippet.

Stella is our saving grace this year.
She was born on the day of my husband’s best mate’s funeral. He should still be here.
This beautiful puppy gave us a focus away from grief. A glimmer in the dark & the year took a different trajectory.
Perfect! I’m keen to log in and for it to be inspiration, education and colleague type chat. Lovely. ✨✨
Different hats in a London shop window- blue, camel and black
Business owners, which hat should we wear today? ✨
A friend of mine who lives in Taos took this photo last night.
The best thing that could happen today is more snow ❄️ it’s the weekend and we don’t have to drive anywhere! I’m going to write Christmas cards!
Yeah I’ve just been nudging away at it. My members gave me the content in a google form so that was easier 😅
Ooo I Iike the sound of that. I have a Substack gift guide coming out next week that’s been fun to write.
A mural reads against blue sky reads “what’s the best that could happen?” White text with a read edging with two daisies either side. By artist Have a Nice Day on IG.
Blue sky…
Frosted home… it’s inspiring me to bake a fruit cake, adorn it with marzipan and white icing and set tiny deer on top. ✨ ❄️
