I’m a huge fan of The Atlantic, but now that I’ve read the article, I have to agree with Maria’s points. I’ll add that I don’t understand how the writer got so emotionally involved over the dubious chance to win a few thousand bucks. It seems contrived.

I use the FanDuel Sportsbook twice a year - March Madness and College Football bowl season - as a hedging tool for the essentially zero-sum office pools I enter. But knowing FanDuel is not zero sum, I would never use it on a regular basis or just for fun.
