A month later and I'm just over here stress eating peanut M&Ms.

I keep forgetting Bsky is a thing. I should actually post things here, right? Like Katsu?

A photo of myself staring directly at the camera, sitting cross legged in front of a large circular mirror dressed as the Lamb from Cult of the Lamb video game. I'm wearing a white corset with a small vest/jacket and black tights that blend into hooves for feet. The corset and jacket are lined with short white sherpa fur. I'm wearing arm length black gloves with black claws, and have a long wavy white wig with black Lamb ears, Horns and a black collar with a large golden bell. I also have a black hat crown with a red eye on my head between the horns. The photo has a red glow with gold accents in the mirror and furniture I'm sitting on.
Would you like to join a cult? ๐โค๏ธ

Does eating the cherry blossoms count on your list of accomplishments?
Some bad days, you send letters to your elected officials. Some bad days, you eat Fruit Loops. Today is a "both" day.
If nothing else, it forces the photographer to slow way down and be so much more deliberate. Almost a meditative process- something we all need these days.
Way back in the day (I'm not that old, I promise), I student-taught a film photography class at my high school. As much as I love my modern equipment, there's a special quality to working with film. It's been a lot of fun to get back into.
"When are you opening your bookings? We desperately want a slot. Please come to the con."
Opened bookings, literal tumbleweeds.
Popping into the app I use all the time (sarcasm) to say Happy 2025.
A good hush puppy is all I ask.
Lamenting the lack of decent southern comfort food in the northeast today.
I need to hire someone to schedule shoots for me. Like I'm sitting around wanting to shoot, but that means I actually have to put effort into advertising (my least favorite).
It appears like I'll be in that limbo of Arcane obsession and emotional fatigue for a while.
I started my career as a stage technician for theater and had two talents: being semi nocturnal and moving around silently (to the point where an old boss threatened to get me a bell). I used both qualities as a theater photographer, and it stuck: "animal that moves silently in the dark".
Those who follow me on IG might notice I changed my handle slightly here. The goal was to expand content from just photography out to multiple different types of creative work. And it made me realize I don't think I've ever explained where the name came from.
Not really much to run on here, Dunkin.
For those who don't know me, my name is Matt, a 30-something photographer from CT. Cosplay and performing arts are my normal focus, but happy to collaborate on all kinds of portrait and fashion work.
Studio located in Willington, CT.
Ahoy. Rather than use politically questionable apps for rudderless musings, I'll attempt to remember to post that stuff here. Official photography work will probably go over on IG for now. Feel free to antagonize here with questions about photography, light, or building stuff.
