My larger point is that there are ways to bring this energy to your community beyond just hoping we change the constitution for a guy.
The lesson isn’t, “wow this one guy is gonna save us” it’s “wow, this is what happens when our leaders know what our concerns are and prioritize them”. There are so many ways local governments can do this and mamdani is providing examples we can all bring to our own communities.
Every time I see a post from Mayor Mamdani, there is an inevitable comment “I just want him to be our president”. I think this could do with some reframing. Mamdani has shown in his first 100 days (and beyond) what material change looks like for people at a local level.

I’m really excited that my largely remote team is coming to town soon and I’ve been asked to help pick a place. I’ve got a list together that accommodates everyone and focuses on smaller spots that could use the attention.
I HIGHLY recommend doing this if you also are picking for team dinners!
She has gotten to pick the last few times and has taken everyone to small, immigrant owned spots and orders a whole spread for everyone. She makes sure everyone is accommodated in terms of allergies, preferences and picky eaters and they always leave fat and happy, (and on time)
Hi so my sister is my favorite person ever for so many reasons.
One of them is that she works a corporate job and has vendor/client dinners where her reps take the team out. Typically these dinners would be super bougie, high budget, lots of alcohol and fairly late nights.

When measuring a websites uptime (as in how often it’s available online) it’s measured in 9’s, so five nines would mean a site is available 99.999% of the time.
I really wish accuracy was help to the same standard as uptime.
