You’re welcome. You voted to confirm Secretary Rollins and continue to stand by that vote. I took her to court twice to protect Coloradans—and won both times!
I'm honored to have the endorsement of the Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund!
Fighting for freedom & equality for members of the LGBTQ+ community continues to be one of my core values, which makes this endorsement especially meaningful.
I'll always fight to protect the rights of all Coloradans.
RMEQ was at the Capitol yesterday with community members testifying against two bills targeting trans rights that FAILED.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission rescinded its Enforcement Guidance on Workplace Harassment document. This protects civil rights in the workplace. RMEQ joined the National Women's Law Center in opposing this reckless rescission: bit.ly/4pRK3Le
“Maybe someone on the court will have some humanity, we keep hoping,” said Mardi Moore, CEO of RMEQ. “Is there enough humanity down deep inside and enough understanding of biology and genetics and trust in that left that they’ll vote against Chiles v. Salazar?”

Thank you to Representatives Joe Neguse, Diana DeGette, and Senator John Hickenlooper for co-sponsoring the John Lewis Every Child Deserves a Family Act. This bill ensures that identities and family structures are no longer obstacles to building loving families.

“We’re here not to protest, so much as to mourn,” said Mark Lester, a policy analyst for RMEQ. We’re deeply disappointed in CU Boulder Athletics and just the fact that they’re choosing to commemorate someone who actively fought against our rights.”

Commentary: CU wants to put up a monument to the late former football coach Bill McCartney on the campus of Colorado's flagship public university. This would be an abomination, and the statue project should be spiked.

As founder of Promise Keepers, coach Bill McCartney led efforts to nationally oppose LGBTQ+ rights and promoted exclusionary and harmful views. "I love CU Boulder, and this is a poor representation of what they actually stand for,” said Mardi Moore, CEO of RMEQ.

Who was Kelly Loving? Kelly Loving was a transgender woman who was killed in the Club Q shooting while trying to protect others. [GRAPHIC: A closeup photo of Kelly Loving]
Marriage License and Civil Unions Name Changes: Allows people to get a new marriage license and civil union license after a name change with no indication that a change occurred and retains the original effective date.
School Chosen Name and Dress Code Policies: If schools or staff enact chosen name policies, they must be inclusive of all reasons a student might adopt a name different from their legal one. Students must be allowed to choose freely from any of the dress code clothing options provided.
Good news! After a vote late last night, the Kelly Loving Act (HB25-1312) is on its way to the governor’s desk for signature. This is the last step before the bill becomes law. This bill is an example of people-powered legislation that centers community voices.

This weekend, we came together in Longmont to honor the heritage and joy of the Mexican community at a Cinco de Mayo celebration. To our Mexican and Mexican-American community members: we see you, we celebrate you, and we stand with you. We will continue to work toward a world where we all thrive.
We are proud to support HB25-1312, a critical step forward in protecting and affirming the rights of trans Coloradans.
We’re grateful for the authors’ partnership and proud to stand with them in this fight. We will continue to work with them as the bill moves forward.
After powerful testimony from trans Coloradans and thoughtful amendments that reflect community input, we’re proud to support HB25-1312 — a bill that moves us closer to safety, dignity, and equity for trans people across our state.
A newly released U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) report attempts to replace decades of best-practice medical care for transgender youth by interfering in the freedom to make medical medical decisions for ourselves and our families with our doctors.
