Just a few of the tens of thousands of messages sent to King Charles. There’s still time for the Palace to do the right thing, listen to the public and cancel the visit.

Women in support of the trans+ community - Not in our name

We want the media and politicians to recognise that there is a large number of women who are supportive of the trans+ community. We call on them to report truthfully about the sources of violence against women and to address the systems that perpetuate harm. notinourname.org.uk/petition/not...

Furthermore, the ceiling on total defections to the left is MUCH higher - because of the way the sociology of the Lab vote has changed over time.

You cannot over-correct and be too complacent about Lab/Reform switchers - they matter too. But Lab need both left & right swing to win.

Most pollsters will now show you Labour losing more to the left than right.

These are not, despite what some say, ‘metro libs’ in safe seats - they’re spread out in electoral battlegrounds all over the country. Labour’s 2024 victory was partly built on them, esp in Blue Wall.

Big new @persuasionuk.bsky.social report out with @38degrees.bsky.social on 'progressive defectors' - Lab 2024 switchers to Greens, Plaid, SNP, Lib Dems.

Who are they, who are they not & what's moving them? 🧵

I’m afraid this letter shows why so many Labour MPs think Starmer needs to go. His political antenna is non-existent. If you have just been humbled in a by-election it might not be the best idea to slag off the choices of the voters who deserted you in their droves.

People keep comparing MAGA/ICE/CBP/MAHA to 1930s Germany.

It's also more and more like late 1960s China, during Cultural Revolution. Or mid 1970s Cambodia, during "Year Zero."

A war against knowledge itself.

@believeinscotland.bsky.social‬ The Trust have received no information about this from @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social. Will the rally be on hard standing/car park? Grassed areas on the hill are easily damaged. An erosion emergency was declared last year. 300 sq. metres are fenced off. Please advise.

Delighted the DEFIBRILLATOR motion passed with cross-party support (+ helpful amendments). Special thanks to Cllr Mowat @cllrjomo.bsky.social for highlighting the struggles of the Trust to get a 24/7 unit installed and to everybody for recognising the importance of a fast response in an emergency.

Screenshot of an X post from the official Homeland Security account titled “Here are the FACTS.” The statement says Buffalo Police alerted Border Patrol about a non-citizen, that Mr. Shah Alam entered the U.S. as a refugee in December 2024, was not amenable to removal, and accepted a courtesy ride to a coffee shop described as a warm, safe location. It adds that he showed no signs of distress or disability requiring assistance.

This is negligent homicide. We demand justice for Shah Alam and his family. He was nearly blind, and they left him five miles from his home, forced to try to walk home alone in the dark and the freezing cold.

Shabana Mahmood vows to stick with hardline migration policies after byelection defeat Home secretary will defy ‘plain wrong’ calls from unions and leftwing MPs that she is alienating Muslim voters

Labour anti-immigration policies have gone far further than even the Conservatives hostile environment. They have just been shown that these are not policies which appeal to voters, as well as being policies which fundamentally harm individuals and the country. 1/

This is just the start of the escalating rhetoric that began with Noem—performing for her audience of one—stating explicitly that the regime needs to make sure “the right people vote for the right leaders” in the midterms.

The regime has no intention of allowing free and fair elections ever again.
