It made me reflect: in a time where so many chase money and material success, what place do cultural symbols and histories still hold in our imagination? And what might have motivated the artist to bring these currencies into dialogue with ancient symbols?

Noticing how the artist placed the USD, EURO, and NAIRA symbols among the beautiful Nsibidi and Uli designs made me pause. Every child today can easily recognize a currency sign, yet many may not be able to read Nsibidi, even though it carries a much longer history and deeper meaning.
