Alternate take: It’s a silly-complex graphical programming language with a bunch of different sandboxes for testing your programs, and some people are *really* into that.

My current favorite: “A ‘root cause’ is just the last thing you noticed.”
Okay. Okay. Is it bad that before staring at it I thought it was an equation for yet another SABR statistic?
Disagree. It’s lightbulb vs. school bus.
(Full respect for the handwritten 2-tier lowercase ‘g’)
The words “Yes, Tim, I’m aware.” handwritten on a piece of paper, pictured with a fountain pen, specifically a Hongdian “Forest Black” pen with a Fine nib, using Hongdian black cartridge ink.
You know, there’s a really useful tool for getting that kind of calligraphic flair in one’s regular handwriting…
“Dude!!!”
Orban?
Na, bro.
Yay! I gotta say… there’s something very satisfying about writing an evergreen blog post.
A made-for-LinkedIn subject line but also actually true:
“How being my EVE Online corporation’s deranged spreadsheet guy taught me how to enjoy JIRA.”
#youcannotjudgemeinanywaythatmatters
Plausible. :)
I’d really have to dig for the last time I saw a CT passenger plate in NYC.
Co-signed.
A CT-registered car, parked in Brooklyn. How does that even happen?
As for mastodon, either bad-faith edits don’t happen (doubtful), de-federation hides them (vacuously useful), or the community is still small/coherent/divisible enough that it doesn’t happen (see: most Slack instances).

I’d be willing to entertain a Soundex Distance limit on edits, within a very limited period after posting.
Bad-faith edits made long after the reader forgets they liked the post is a standard MO, either for grift, trolling, or both. I suspect this is not a technical problem for ATproto.

My pointless take on an edit button:
No, because a social media post is interacted with at a moment in time. The like/repost is for the post that existed when the reader clicked the button. An edit button breaks that implicit agreement.
The psychological wage is real, but it’s not infinite, and the administration doesn’t seem to have any other playbook.
The laaaaaast of Mickey’s Mousketeers!
Nearby, anti-cosanguination laws exist because otherwise, generational wealth transfers are a complete shitshow.
I guess this is the “throwing excuses out the back of the truck” phase.
It was so very very good!
Same as the Jews being “The Chosen People”. “Chosen for *what*?!?”
And we keep making them somehow *more* suburbian in the process.
Annual reiteration of a pointless hill I will defend to the end of my days:
New England (with the possible exception of Fairfield County, CT) should be on Atlantic Standard Time all year.
This whole thread. There are a lot of great thoughts in this, but the one that resounds most with me is that the point of iterating on solutions to a problem is to figure out what the *problem* is.
As a silver lining, they don’t know exactly what went wrong and gained no insight from their experience.
Markwayne?
How do you even pronounce that?
Sorry, I’m just bad with foreign names.
Can I just call you Mark?
I almost posted “Israel is a US client state entirely propped up by American military funding without which it would cease to exist while also being the all powerful mastermind pulling all the strings in the US government which it controls completely” but I realized some of you really believe that
Naah. Too believable. :)
