I think builds trying to be more midrange fail. They have to play too much interaction which dilutes the deck.

I also don't want to play a bunch of bad creatures like gingerbrute.

Green splash is too painful.

Deck is tier 3 no matter what until viable 0s or additional ways to cheat mana.

I never got to an Affinity list I would feel comfortable registering in standard. But my ideas of where it needs to focus:

1) Very low land count with Fountainport Bell. Supports Rust Harvester as well as out next card.....
2) Lady Octopus starring as Aether Vial
3) Frostcliff Siege to finish

So when does this rationale extend to MTGA plug-ins, Untapped and 17Lands, which procure way more data? And if it doesn't, why not? Why is MTGO being targeted specifically? This makes no sense.

How far are we from "WotC has decided to disable the API plug-in access to MTGA. Data from 17Lands and Untapped were too impactful to the game."

I'm honestly extremely curious by who (what role) at WotC is motivated to force this change. I can't fathom who this benefits.
