Can confirm. I had an Amstrad (CPC464 fo’ life!) and have no recollection of this whatsoever.

Yeah it is kinda nuts. I go most years (as a spectator!) as it’s only about five miles from where I live and having such a weird event on my doorstep seems a shame to ignore.
