Today is the 251st anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.
I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.
Remind you of anyone?
Go Voyager!!!!
Its contents include a sample of global human culture as of its launch in 1977, and a powerful message from a president who believed in its mission, Jimmy Carter.
Whenever I think I'm having a tough day, I think what it must be like for Tom Holland to be in a bar, quietly having a drink
and then Rihanna's "Umbrella" starts playing on the jukebox/radio
and everyone, like, *everyone* turns to look at him
expectantly.
Yeah, I think I'm fine.
Got cat called & shouted at on my walk today which forced me to change my route that I planned. And my first thought was “oh well, this happens” which is just a very unfair and disappointing reaction. Leave women alone.
I just read the detailed CNN report about how many men go online seeking instructions and videos of drug-assisted sexual assault and now I understand why so many women choose the bear
Girl, same. Just so tired ALL the damn time. I have to take naps during my lunch break. MS sucks!
I don’t trust this. Be prepared for some 2 am emergency strike.
Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.
Man, I just want to post about Star Trek and the Moon, not grapple with apocalyptic dread.
"Calm down. He won't be that bad."
"He won't go after political opponents."
"He won't try to overturn an election."
"He won't start a stupid, costly war."
"He won't purge the military."
"He won't use nukes." <--- We're currently here.
Please do not become numb to this insanity.
it's really nice that we got one last photo
I predicted someone like Trump many years ago, in THE DEAD ZONE. So now I'm saying this--in the next 12-16 months, we're going to find out if the two machines for the removal of a man unable to fulfill his duties actually work. They are impeachment and the 25th amendment. He is deeply unwell .
I love how people are cheering on NASA like it’s their sports team EXCEPT everyone is cheering for the SAME team!
Incredibly moving story. The pride and love of these astronaut families is palpable
Happy Easter.
Oh, oh, I know! Maybe your son is a ginormous asshole, Maye.
One of the best things about entering the crone years is I no longer give a single f$%k if I seem 'cringe' or 'weird' when I genuinely compliment people or chat with interesting randos.
My kids TOTALLY hate it if they're with me, but again...no f&#ks...I'm spreading love like peanut butter, babies!
I don’t think I realized I had any latent Challenger trauma until right about now
My kid’s like “neat!” and I’m like 🫣
Fellow Gen Xers: are we calm yet?

NASA began the countdown Monday for humanity's first launch to the moon in 53 years. https://to.pbs.org/4sI8vkj
Project Hail Mary is going to make a hojillion dollars because it's a visually stunning film based on an original story and it's main audience is people who like good movies. Younger kids? Yep. Older folks? I recommend it. People on a date? Absolutely. Lone person who wants to get lost? Love it.
So many things are annoying and overwhelming right now. All I can do is remind myself what is still in my control; the importance of kind gestures (to myself and other people, big and small); prioritizing my health, safety and comfort; and how I am aging better than my enemies.
