Now that you mention it, they probably would be confused by it - hadn’t thought about that! Yet running along ancient tracks or structures (like medieval city walls) is one of my favourite things to do. It seems like a good fit now even if it is a bit incongruous!

Very historic! I like that!

Unfortunately, no - my theory is that 350+ people thundering through the forest scared them off

I didn’t think of that! 😂 Will bear in mind for future encounters with sand dunes!

I definitely haven’t mastered the technique! 😂

Red Squirrel 10k trail run done today (first event with an entry form in 5 years!) with very much a #parkrun vibe but it was twice as long and had what felt like massive sand dunes to run over. Still really enjoyed it! #running #trailrunning

The 8 NE Wales parkruns hosted 1256 runners/walkers (+6 on last week) supported by 189 volunteers. Only 5 events operated in this week last year with 998 participants. We are preparing for our disco-themed 1st anniversary in 2 weeks - the music and dance moves are ready! #parkrun #running #Cymru

I’m always disagreeing with my AI coach - you know best! In my opinion DNF is better than did not start…

Bluebells reaching up the hill alongside a narrow footpath

Recovery run of 5k this afternoon as I have a 10k trail race on Sunday (first event with an entry fee in 5 years!) Called by on the run to see how the bluebells are doing. Ready for #parkrun volunteering tomorrow! #running #trailrunning #bluebells

Another opportunity to do my longer (10.5 mile) run during work time, helping to move vehicles to different destinations (not sure what I’ll do yet if two such chances arise in a single week but it would be a nice problem to have!) #running #spring

The orange sunrise viewed through a barn door

The orange sunrise viewed through a barn door

It has been an (active) rest day today ready for long run day tomorrow - cycle commute and steady spin bike session instead of a run. It clouded over in the afternoon but I am always grateful when I can see the #sunrise #running #cycling

Could feel the effects of yesterday’s hill walking but the 4.8 mile (zone 2 - or at least I tried) run helped to loosen them up. Last week’s sunrises were mostly pink but this morning was definitely orange #running #walking #sunrise #oak

On the way up Moel Siabod - 7.3 miles walking in the mountains on a beautiful day with friends (who also happen to be fellow #parkrun volunteers) #running #walking #waterfall
