I'm not good with numbers but as far as I can see, the average price pr. kWh for that period was 8 - 10 cents + taxes.

I don't know where you live, but in Denmark private solar owners can hook up to the public grid and get paid for the surplus they produce. That saves them from investing in expensive storage, and nothing goes to waste.

My own experience, as a Danish consumer, is that my electricity bill has become cheaper, at the same time as more of the energy I consume comes from renewable sources.

The Danish government has reduced taxes on electricity to the EU minimum, starting January 1st this year. This is not accounted for in these older statistics.
Apart from that, countries in colder regions, such as Scandinavia, obviously consume more energy for heating, which drives up the price.
