Something tricky is that the vast majority of people don't care at all about sourcing or reporting. This used to be regulated by company mores/litigation fears, but now it's largely just individual values.

Lego investing: scalping or collecting? People are angry. You decide! youtu.be/SYlD6pYmmEQ
Before making this video, I had no idea about the awesomeness of the Lego secondary market. You'll find arbitrage, sentiment analysis, amazing micro-niches, and way more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYlD...
crazy story, but great argument
I'm doing this video about The Secret Economics of Lego and I say "Legos" a couple times. Already know the backlash will be swift and harsh...
And now it's out! youtu.be/vbi1zBmR7yg
My video's in a holding pattern today, imagine me saying it like a bored pilot. But it'll be out soon! Find out when via my newsletter (free!). www.patreon.com/c/philedward...
Yeah, I just thought it needed to be timely. I don't know. People clicked on it the same and watched it the same amount, but it just didn't get circulation. YouTube seems happy to pump mediocre shorts that I spend a half day on though. Rather dispiriting.
This Sunday, I have a video coming about AI money's arrival in politics. Until then, here's my 2024 video about Sam Altman, in light of Open AI's working with the Department of War. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_iv...
A weird part of being a "creator" is having no idea how other people are running their businesses.
So, how did all this Ring Search Party surveillance network stuff happen? And what's the bigger plan at play? www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAWK...

I'm sure people are tired of VPN ads, but using one for research is really pretty exhilarating.
New video - how did tip screens become a ubiquitous feature of modern life? And who's to blame? www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmNH...
yep yep. or even just a person not a professional "content" person.
Every time I have a conversation with a non-Internet person about ChatGPT, they are outsourcing their thinking in significant ways to the app.
In 2026, my thinking is:
Perceived "goodness" of an image = Aesthetics (0-100)* Demonstrated Scarcity (0-1).
AI image: Aesthetics of 80, but Demonstrated Scarcity of .01. Goodness = .8.
My terrible drawings: Aesthetics of 14. But a scarcity value of 1. Goodness = 14.
14 beats .8!
I read this book way too late for various reasons, but Jason Schreier is so awesome. Great book even for somebody who only played Starcraft II for a couple grades of middle school. Little sad though, I must admit.
