I know what I listen to
Maybe the developing story is about just how wrong these AI overviews can get...
You heard it here first
The Hockey News has a growing forum on each of its sites called the Community (where you and anyone can make a post), so I thought I'd share my top five favorite NHL goal horns and songs in the forum today: thehockeynews.com/news/communi...
Here is my latest for @thehockeynews.bsky.social covering TSN 1200's pivot to remote broadcasts for away games during the 2025-26 season:

I doubt it would be used for the LRT though, which makes this even more baffling.
I don't understand this Kanata tunnel project.
Maybe if it is used for the LRT in the lonnnng-term future, then it could make some sense. But traffic crossing that intersection has never seemed that bad to me.

Read this thread if you ever let AI do your research. Errors are one thing; the absolute confidence in the "voice" in most replies is another.
I've been hearing that voice since long before the Digital Age dawned, but was slow to learn how often it meant the intelligence behind it was artificial.
Mark Carney reacted to Edmonton's Stanley Cup final loss while some members of the Conservatives shared photos of the PM in an Oilers jersey with no comment: thehockeynews.com/news/latest-...
Sam Reinhart wasn't just the first player to score four goals in a Stanley Cup final game since Maurice Richard in 1957. He was the first player to score four goals in his team's Cup-winning game since 1922. thehockeynews.com/news/latest-...
Stuart Skinner is 4-2 when facing elimination in his NHL playoff career: thehockeynews.com/news/latest-...

We'll have updates all night after every pick.
With a 6-1 win, the Panthers handed the Maple Leafs the NHL's most lopsided Game 7 loss since 2016. San Jose beat Nashville 5-0 on May 12, 2016, and St. Louis beat Dallas 6-1 a day earlier.
The Maple Leafs from 2005 to 2025 have now equalled the same number of playoff series wins as the 2017 Senators.
I don't buy the notion that the Ottawa Senators are playing with house money in Round 1.
Their "run of unparalleled success" was supposed to be from 2021 to '25. They only made the playoffs now. They have some catching up to do.
Their last game was a good reflection of the last eight years:
Especially considering the moves they made in the off-season to fill some gaps. It's very surprising.
I don't usually give out endorsements like this, but I used the Too Good To Go app today at Metro and got:
- For $6: A pack of six doughnuts, a family pack of cookies and a blueberry pie
- For $11: Four individual-size packages of sushi
Just surprise bags of food that they'd otherwise throw out.
Thank you!

This instant classic of a hockey game should have been on CBC as well
