“It’s a choke-up moment, isn’t it?”
⭐ SEND provision allows schools to give students a chance in life.

😵💫 Educators are being asked to do the impossible.
Without proper funding from the Government, planned reforms won’t work and pupils won’t get the SEND support they need.
💻 Mind the (technology) gap.
With school funding stuck in the past, we can’t prepare students for the future.
"We need to send an urgent injection of funding" for inclusive education
The UK is behind other OECD countries 👇
❗ "Quite frankly, education is running on empty"
🗞️ Extra! The NEU State of Education survey is out – and it’s not looking good.
🚨 Education MUST work for all children. But if we want any SEND reforms to be successful, they must be properly funded.

SEND support can change lives – Hannah’s story is a testament to that.
And that can only happen with properly funded schools.
🌟 “Every child deserves that chance.”
Falling behind isn’t inevitable.
Every child should be able to access the support they need to thrive, flourish and succeed at school.
That can only happen if schools are properly funded.
Great to meet with headteachers from across Merseyside to talk about the reality of school budgets.
Staffing pressures, rising pastoral needs, SEND costs are just some of the issues hitting classrooms hard.
Our schools cannot keep absorbing these pressures alone.

Last week, Liverpool headteachers met with @kimjohnsonmp.bsky.social to discuss the urgent realities they face.
Kim is listening to these local heroes so she can take their voices straight to Parliament.
It’s time the Government gives schools the funding they need to not just survive — but thrive.
📍Liverpool. A room full of headteachers telling it as it is.
Budgets shrinking, expectations climbing. Barely enough to keep things running.
What stood out? Solidarity and energy to keep demanding better for our students.
Thanks to the MPs who joined us: @kimjohnsonmp.bsky.social and Ian Byrne 🙌
Thank you for your support, @benking01.bsky.social! 💪

School cuts hurt everyone.
✂️What happens when 1,180 schools across the country have lost more than £1 million each?
That’s the equivalent of losing:
8,260 teachers and
10,620 support staff and
The cost of 248,000 laptops
How much has your school lost?
🗞️ Have you seen the news? After the Spring Statement, school budgets are still running on empty.
We’re calling on the Government to stop school cuts.

🚨The Spring Statement is next week
The Government's proposed funding for SEND reform doesn’t even cover the cost of a single teacher per school.
We’re not accepting ambition without funding. Write to your MP - ask them to tell the Chancellor to fully fund all SEND reforms: bit.ly/send-reform-mp
Higher expectations without the resources mean one thing: more cuts.
“It’s a shameful position to be in.”
🤔 What do you think of the chart?
2️⃣ Two weeks until the Spring Statement.
We’re making noise in Birmingham and Essex, the two local authorities worst-hit by school cuts.
SEND support goes beyond the classroom: it’s about giving pupils a chance to succeed.
👇️
It’s simple: SEND provision needs to be fully funded.
❕ “We cannot allow another generation of young people to miss out on opportunities to learn, thrive and achieve.”
Reforms to the SEND system are desperately needed. But if these reforms are not fully-funded, they are doomed to fail.

🍭Headteacher by day, lollipop person… by day, too.
With funding cuts, school staff have to wear many hats.
Our educators deserve better. #StopSchoolCuts
🙅♀️ Spoiler: in this game, everyone is losing.
“At a time of rising pupil need and record class sizes in both primary and secondary schools, government should embrace the opportunity to cut class sizes and improve education quality.”
