What did you learn during the last weeks? Or did you achieve something and forget to be proud of yourself?
Now is the time ☺️ Tell me about it!

I learned during the last weeks:
I am really bad at managing all those different social media channels.

I am still able to put energy and love in what I do - as long as I believe in it.

I am very patient.

I am a shop owner now 🥹👉🏽👈🏽

Hey! I made a video about what it means to be an artist that tries to find the right audience and wants to start selling some Artwork.
And yeah, you can't post videos here, so I improvise with this link!

some naive wondering combined with a healthy amount of madness and going full psycho. Pretty sure that's all I need to say!

and while listening to the Smiths I decided back then: I need more canvases. And paint. And a new kitchen floor but that can wait :D And maybe that's actually what you can read in Glompis appearance:

I really liked how the acrylic cells turned out here and discovering this new way to use my paints kind of started a crazy phase of experiments and madness, of my full body and kitchen covered in paint

Open your Eyes

Acryl on canvas, 30x40 cm.
Well ... Even though "What Are You / Protecting?" was the first painting I created last year, this one marks the start of my technique and style - even though I didn't know that back then, that's for sure 😊

No matter what he's doing there - we still don't know what he's hiding in his damn left hand!

But I also didn't use the sketches as a "have to be a 1:1 copy", that would negatively interfere with the whole spontaneous part in the process.
And that's actually how Glompi suddenly came up with a balloon in... A cave maybe?

Open your Eyes - Details

As you can see: just like Hauke the canvas-acrylic-version of Glompi doesn't fit the original sketch at all :D
Of course it's hard to draw with acrylic paint / a brush and that's one of the main reasons.

Will we ever discover what he's hiding behind his back? Do I even know?
Well fact is: He always walks around with open big huge eyes - wondering about everything!
And let's be honest... We should do the same.

Open your Eyes - Sketchbook

Well, time to meet Glompi. This tiny fellow was the first character I created and it kind of marks the start of my current artworks.

Artists have a face I just realised!

I am so full of positive energy atm, the print samples are flying in, the embroidery for the beanie worked out so well & after hiding for so many years - I wanna show my art and myself!

Artists what are you working on right now? How are you doing?

And here a sneak peek of where the road is going right now. And why koFi is such a big help at the moment. I am at the very start of my journey but I enjoy every step right now, my art and even all the problems flying in :D

Stay tuned 💜

Not sure, am I not allowed to post videos here?
Well. No problem, here's the link.

For me a very difficult and emotional one, had to take the day off after looking through all these photos🌈😞
But still I appreciate that all of this brought me back to my art 🤍

I hope you enjoy this one - cos it's clear how much Hauke enjoys it!

I will make a blog post in the future at Ko-Fi to explain and show how those paintings start, how they evolve - it's therapy for me.
And when they evolve and while they dry, a picture, a story, something builds up in my head. And this is when the actual intentional work starts.

2 years ago 0 0 1 0

The painting, the paints, the character (Hauke), the title and especially the tiny story - Even though I never have a clear intention when I start the acryl background, it kind of happened that this whole artwork evolved and changed faster than I was able to realise it.

Sláinte

Today I wanna show you my painting "Sláinte".
Acryl on canvas, 24 x 18 cm.

2 years ago 6 3 1 0

It just happened while painting that I changed his body shape, being in some kind of a... hamster-mood? :D

2 years ago 1 0 0 0

You can't use pencil and ruler. You can't correct mistakes. And the result? Hauke is looking so different here than he looks originally :D

But I am absolutly okay with that - We all have days where we look in the mirrow and think: huh? Why do I look so wasted? - Don't we? :D

Sláinte - Details
__________

Some detail shots of my painting "Sláinte".
It's the perfect example to show how difficult it is to draw and design my tiny characters on paper - and afterwards manage to draw them again on canvas.

Sláinte - Art / Sketchbook Post.
_________

Here's the original drawing of the character used in the previous paintings.
It's name is Hauke and he clearly understands how to enjoy life!
Maybe we all should take him as our idol? Be more like Hauke, enjoy the moment!
