No no 🙂 - 12 knots of wind increased to 30 knots in 5 minutes (while rounding a headland). I had that time to reef the sails (but expected it/was ready).

The boat was going 4-6 knots at all times. Didn’t berth until that night.

But I’ll still take “very good sailor” 🥹⛵️

the Tyndaridae (that’s Castor & Pollux), Quasimodo’s “Wind at Tindari” so apposite, the byzantine black madonna of Tindari: all these I made accidental pilgrimage to yesterday. Now they or meteorological circumstance bless the Bay of Oliveri with a seven knot breeze.

I did see _so many_ cats in Tyndaris today

Rounding Mylae point. At this spot the corvus 🐦‍⬛ debuted!

Making 2 in 4-5 over the starboard beam.

6-8 at 40ish degrees - Indigo does surprisingly well in light airs considering her weight (it’s a sensitive subject so I don’t bring it up much)
