I saw an interesting argument a few weeks ago along these lines (about AI ads specifically) It boils down to the idea that young people see AI as a tool for bullshitting people (teachers, parents, whoever) but they don't want to be on the receiving end of BS, and they're keenly aware when it happens

$ORIGIN and runpath have always been purely dynamic-linker features implemented in userspace; PT_INTERP is implemented in the kernel, and is simply a path. It can be a relative path, but if so, it's treated like any other relative path passed to a syscall (ie resolved relative to CWD).

I am dead convinced they believe this because they take all their futurism cues from TV shows, where characters talk to the computer so that what they’re doing is legible to the audience, because it’s a dramatic presentation.
